Can I take IMODIUM® products with alcohol?
Medical evidence has clearly established that IMODIUM® products are safe and effective when used as directed.
However, as certain individuals are at higher risk of developing health problems when combining alcohol with medications, we recommend that you consult your physician or pharmacist prior to taking IMODIUM® products with alcohol. He or she can help review and select the safest treatment options for you.
As well, eating too many of certain foods and drinks such as alcohol and milk can aggravate your diarrhea. It is therefore not recommended to continue drinking alcohol while experiencing diarrhea.
